Holy Mass back in the church starting with Vigil Mass tonight

Due to yesterday's court ruling, Bishop Soto has granted permission for us to have Mass back inside the church, starting with the 5pm Vigil Mass this evening. **Seating will be limited, so please arrive 15-20 minutes early.** We plan to resume with the reservation system next week. From the Diocese: Celebration of World Marriage Day - Sat. Feb. 20

Our Diocese will celebrate World Marriage Day on Saturday, February 20, 9:00 am Mass via live-stream at the St. Isidore Church, Yuba City Bishop Jaime Soto will preside. Married couples will have the opportunity to drive-thru to receive a special blessing and picture with Bishop Soto. Special certificates will be given to couples celebrating milestone anniversaries (10, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 50+).

Year of St. Joseph begins at our parish next weekend

On December 8th, Pope Francis declared a year of Saint Joseph. Our parish is officially inaugurating the year of Saint Joseph on Sunday, January 17. Fr. Brian Crawford, OSJ, will celebrate 11:00 AM Mass and preach in the parking lot (weather permitting). Fr. Brian is a member of the religious community of the Oblates of Saint Joseph that served our parish for 67 years. After Mass, parish representatives will plant a few decorative plants in front of the church. Parishioners or those who are named after Saint Joseph are welcome to donate $50 to purchase the plants.

January 3rd - 150th anniversary of the death of St. Chavara

January 3 is the feast day of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, who is the founder of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate, the order of priests that have served at St. Mary's since 2005, including Frs. Davy and George. Today marks the 150th anniversary of St. Chavara's death. Here are some facts you might not know about him: - He was canonized a Saint by Pope Francis on November 23, 2014.

Masses for the Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God

Friday January 1 is the Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God. Masses will be livestreamed only and are available at this link. Holy Communion will be distributed in the parking lot after each Mass.  The schedule is as follows: Thur Dec. 31 6:30 pm (Vigil Mass) Fri Jan. 1 8:00 am & 12:15 pm
