Pastoral Support
Endowment Committee
The Endowment Committee is responsible for managing the parish’s Endowment Fund. The functional purpose of the Endowment Fund is to establish an equity account that earns interest which may be expended as needed, while the principal remains untouched. Endowment donations come in many forms including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, life insurance policies, property or cash. Committee tasks include soliciting and collecting donations, reporting, distributing informational material, scheduling seminars, and in general providing an easy process for parishioners to donate to the parish endowment fund.
Finance Council
The Finance Council advises the pastor on parish financial affairs. It assists in the preparation of the annual budget and various financial reports to the parish and to the Diocese of Sacramento. Members are appointed by the pastor.
Liturgy Committee
The Liturgy Committee advises and assists the pastor in planning and implementing parish liturgies. Committee members include the pastor, parochial vicar, deacons and leaders of liturgically based ministries within the parish and parish school. These ministries include music, altar servers, extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist, lectors, ushers, school representative, and environment. All members serve at the discretion of the pastor.
Parish Counting Teams
Teams of parishioners, including our Finance Council, rotate each week. They are responsible for counting and depositing our weekly contributions as well as funds received for all our parish events such as crab feeds and festival.
Pastoral Council
The Pastoral Council is a consultative body that makes recommendations to the pastor in matters of religious, educational, social and charitable activities. The members aid the pastor in fulfilling the parish mission.
Stewardship Committee
The Stewardship Committee advises the pastor on the ongoing education and commitment of parishioners to the stewardship of time, talent and treasure.
Vocations Ministry
The Vocations Ministry is designed to promote our God given vocations for the benefit of the Church and the world. The members who gather and pray for priestly and religious vocations, and for vocations for married and single individuals to follow God’s call, also look for ways to promote such vocations through a variety of church events and activities.
