St. Mary Parish Festival
St. Mary Parish Festival has been a tradition for over 80 years. This annual event is a day of summer fun for every member of the family. The festival is packed with food & beverages, live on-stage entertainment, Chicken Dinner, Bingo, shopping mall, activities & games for kids. For St. Mary School Alumni, the festival serves as a reunion place & a time to reconnect with old friends & classmates. The Parish Festival is traditionally held on the third Sunday of August.
Turkey Bingo
Turkey Bingo was held for the first time in November 2023. It's just like regular bingo, except instead of cash prizes, you can win a turkey for your Thanksgiving table. If you win, but don't need a turkey, it can be traded for a gift card and the turkey will be donated to our St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Crab Feed
St. Mary Parish Crab Feed is enjoyed by large crowds each year in February and it is typically a Mardi Gras theme. Menu traditionally consists of shrimp cocktail, salad, cornbread, chicken & sausage gumbo, crab & dessert.
Lenten Soup Meals
For many years, St. Mary Parish has provided a Soup Meal that is served prior to the Stations of the Cross on Fridays during Lent. The meal, which consists of meatless soup and bread, is typically provided by a parish ministry or groups.
Ministry Appreciation Dinner
The St. Mary Parish Ministry Appreciation Dinner, organized by our Stewardship Committee, is an event where we take the time to acknowledge, thank & honor all the people that volunteer for our many parish ministries. The St. Mary Parish Ministry Appreciation Dinner is traditionally held in the month of May.
St. Mary Parish Family Dinner
The St. Mary Parish Family Dinner, organized by our Stewardship Committee, is an event where we invite all our parish family & their friends & relatives to join together and enjoy an evening full of delicious food, drink and Christian fellowship. This dinner is typically held in October.
Fireworks Booth
St. Mary Youth Ministry has operated a fireworks booth in the Corti Brothers parking lot for many years. TNT Fireworks provides all the merchandise. All the profits of the booth go to St. Mary Youth Ministry. The booth is open annually from June 28 to July 4.
Christmas Caroling
A Christmas tradition for nearly two decades, St. Mary’s parishioners go caroling at Mercy General Hospital. After caroling for about 1 hour, we enjoy refreshments in the Holy Spouses room back at the church. It’s a blessed music ministry & lifts the spirits of those who are in the Hospital during the holidays. Christmas caroling is traditionally done on a Friday, right before Christmas.
Divine Mercy Sunday
St. Mary Parish made a solemn dedication & installation of the image of Divine Mercy in our Church on Divine Mercy Sunday in 2012 and thus officially inaugurated the devotion to Divine Mercy in our parish. To celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday each year, the Divine Mercy Chaplet is prayed in the church immediately after the 11:00 am Mass and a reception follows in Giovanni Hall.
Parish Ministry Fair
The Parish Ministry Fair is an opportunity for our parishioners to learn more about all the different ministries offered at St. Mary Parish. It is an excellent opportunity to become an active steward in our parish community by signing up and/or joining any of the ministries that you feel called to. Fellowship and refreshments are enjoyed by all. The Parish Ministry Fair is typically held in September.
